Since 1746, when artist Jean-Henri Dollfus teamed up with a couple of equally innovative entrepreneurs, DMC has been making award-winning fine threads and specialty yarns for manufacturers like you. The three of them began exporting magnificent eastern-inspired, European-made fabrics around the world long before Marie Antoinette was born, and long before we invented the contemporary term globalization.
Today, DMC produces all 500 colors of Mouline Special on the same centuries-old Mulhouse site where it has always been done. That's probably why their stranded cotton remains the world's most popular embroidery thread, with 1 million skeins sold every day.
