The 5% off voucher at the top of this page is GameFly's lead offer, and it is best for shoppers who want a small guaranteed reduction across a whole order. Use that promo if you plan to buy multiple items or want a discount on a marked price that is not already in a specific sale. The code requires a sign in to redeem.

Very low spend or trying GameFly for the first time: if you are testing a subscription, the Free 30 days trial or the Free Month Excess offer may be the best route because they give a month free rather than a percent off. For the Blu ray and DVD plan at $9.95 per month, the free 30 days trial effectively reduces your first month to $0; the 5% off voucher would only take 5% off the $9.95 plan (saving $0.50), so the free month saves more on that purchase. Use the free trial or the free month code for subscription signups.

Single low priced game under $30: buy one of the listed deal games such as Kaze And The Wild Masks for $19.99, NBA 2K21 for $29.99 or Alchemic Cutie for $24.99. The 5% off voucher reduces those prices by 5%. For example, on a $19.99 game the 5% voucher takes 5% off, reducing it to $18.99, a $1.00 saving; however a listed sale such as 12% off Ereban or 14% off Gothic 1 Remake beats the 5% voucher for those specific titles because the sale percentage applies to the marked product and is larger than 5%. Use the sale percent for the specific titles named in those offers, and use the 5% voucher for other games not in a sale.

Mid price items around $47 to $57: for Detective Pikachu Returns at $47.64 or Princess Peach: Showtime at $56.62 the 5% voucher lowers the total by 5% (for $56.62 you would pay $53.79, saving $2.83). If one of these exact titles is included in a listed sale with a stated percent, choose the sale percent when it is higher than 5%. Otherwise use the 5% voucher.

High price items such as Nintendo Switch Lite $199.99 or Golden Tee Deluxe Arcade $499.99: the 5% voucher saves $10.00 on the $199.99 switch and $25.00 on the $499.99 arcade by taking 5% off each total. If any higher percent sale applied to that specific product you would use that instead, but the current listed percent sales are limited to selected rental titles, so for full price hardware the 5% voucher is usually the best sitewide discount available.

When choosing between the 5% voucher, a product marked price, and the listed percent sales, take whichever leaves the lower total for the same item. The 5% voucher needs sign in to redeem; the product price deals and percent off sales apply as marked on the product page. If an offer gives a free month for a subscription, that will almost always save more than 5% on a single monthly plan payment.
