The Gate Video Smart Lock does not have built-in Night Vision. Their motion sensor will still let you know when someone is at your door and you can enhance the performance of night recording from Gate's built-in camera with the use of a porch light.

While the Gate Smart Lock is weather-resistant, it is not built to withstand direct exposure to heavy rain or snow.

Gate operates by connecting to WiFi. If your videos are skipping or freezing, it is indicative of a poor WiFi connection. The WiFi connection at your door might be weaker than elsewhere in your home, especially if there is any metal on your door.

You can set up permanent access codes or temporary access codes on your Gate app. The green key icon means your Gate Smart Lock has downloaded an access code and the grey dots icon means that your Gate has not downloaded an access code. If your Gate has not downloaded an access code, it has to be woken up before it will download that information. This can happen once it is activated by motion or if someone unlocks it.

If you are not completely satisfied with your Gate Smart Lock, you can return it within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund and a $10 restocking fee. Return packages must be shipped within 7 days of requesting a return.
