Gourmesso is offering a 15% off promo for first orders via the promo code shown at the top of this page, and that is the main offer to consider if this is your first purchase. It is best for new customers buying a mix of regular priced items because it takes a straight 15% off your first order at checkout. The site also lists free pods for first orders, sale items up to 45% off, free shipping on US orders of $49.99, and a few marked product deals.

If this is your first order and your cart is small (under $15), the free pods on first orders may be the best value because you get a small bundle of pods without relying on a percentage. The 15% off promo still helps on low totals, for example on a $12 order the 15% promo takes $1.80 off, leaving $10.20. Use the free pods offer if it applies to the same items you want and gives more value than a $1.80 saving.

If this is your first order and your cart is medium ($15 to $60), the 15% promo is usually better. For example, on a $55 non sale order the 15% promo takes $8.25 off, leaving $46.75 at item prices. Note that free shipping applies to US orders of $49.99, and the site shows that threshold; whether the threshold is measured before or after the promo is not stated, so if your pre discount total is near $49.99 plan accordingly. The free pods promotion also applies to first orders and can be worth more than the percent saving on very small carts.

If you are buying marked sale items with discounts up to 45% then use the marked sale price instead of the 15% promo when the sale discount is larger. For example, a $100 basket of selected sale items at 45% off becomes $55, a saving of $45; the 15% promo on the same $100 would save $15 and leave $85, so the sale price is the better choice for those selected items.

If you are buying low priced single items on the deals list such as the Crema 10 pods for $6.69 or the N-Esprè 10 pods for $5.99, apply the 15% first order promo if you want an extra small saving on top of the marked price and if terms allow. For instance the $12.99 machine cleaning kit with the 15% promo takes $1.95 off, leaving $11.04 at item prices.

If your order reaches $49.99 or more try to ensure your pre discount total meets that threshold if you need free shipping, since the site lists free shipping for US orders $49.99. If your pre discount total is above $49.99 you get free shipping under the published condition.

When choosing between the options, compare the final totals and take whichever leaves you with the lower amount to pay. For first orders weigh the 15% promo against the free pods offer and use whichever gives the bigger immediate value for the items you are buying. For selected sale items use the marked sale price when its percentage off is larger than 15%. Do not assume the site lets you combine these promotions unless the terms say so; treat each as an alternative and pick the one that produces the lower final price.
