MyTEFL FAQs
What is MyTEFL payment method?
MyTEFL accepts VISA, Mastercard and Union Pay.
Where does MyTEFL provide their service?
MyTEFL provides their service worldwide.
Do I have to be a native English speaker to benefit from a TEFL course?
No, you do not need to be a native speaker to teach English. In fact, there are more non-native TEFL instructors around the world than native ones. A TEFL course will provide additional benefits to non-native speakers through the comprehensive Grammar and Functions sections in some of MyTEFL courses. While many employers prefer native English speakers, completing a myTEFL.com course demonstrates professional commitment and growth, which are highly valued in the TEFL industry.
How are my grades calculated?
In order to successfully pass your course, you must obtain a minimum average of 65% across each unit. It’s okay if you fail a few quizzes as long as your average score is over 65% per unit. If you do end up failing an entire unit, you will be prompted to reset and retake it before moving forward.
Can I apply for a work permit or work visa in foreign countries with MyTEFL certificate?
Yes, you can, Internationally recognized certificates can be used to apply in countries where a successful, accredited course completion is required. Please note, most countries require a minimum of 100 hours of TEFL training in order to apply for a working visa. If you are planning on applying to a country with these requirements, you will need to complete either their 120 Hour or 140-hour TEFL course.
