What are Sixt payment methods?
Sixt accepts all major Debit and Credit cards.
How far in advance will I receive my driver's contact details?
You will receive a message with the details of the driver and the company performing the ride within one hour before your pickup time. In the App, you may be able to see your driver details in advance. In order to always pick you up on time, Sixt has to respond to unforeseeable events such as traffic jams or flight delays. Therefore, please note, that driver details can often change at short notice.
How can I cancel my booking?
In your profile on the website or in the App, you can see all your upcoming rides and cancel any ride. You will receive confirmation of the cancellation immediately by e-mail. Please note that the cancellation policy may vary depending on the country and the selected booking class. You will find further information about the cancellation fees in their booking conditions.
How are prices calculated?
The final fare for pre-booked transfers and book-by-the-hour rides will be displayed during the booking process. Prices quoted are for each Sixt ride product including local taxes and fees. At this price, you can book the ride. If fares are based on an estimate, such as in the case of On-Demand / Taxi rides, the estimated fare will be shown. In general, the prices are subject to fluctuations in demand and may change, even at short notice. The On-Demand/Taxi prices are determined by the local network partners and/or may be governed by legal regulations.
When do I get charged for my booking?
In order to verify the credit card coverage, the Sixt ride will obtain an authorization equal to the expected amount of the ride. This will be resolved in case of cancellation. If the ride takes place, the credit card will be charged the next working day after the completion of the ride. If you cancel your ride without cancellation fees, the authorization will be automatically resolved and no fees will be charged.
I have lost value in one of your vehicles. How do I get it back?
Sixt's drivers are required to check their vehicles after every completed booking. Therefore, if any item has been left behind it should be safely retrieved. However, they assume no liability for lost or damaged personal items left in any vehicle on their bookings. They advise you to get in touch with the driver as soon as you realize that you are missing something. If the driver is not available, please call the Customer Service Team on +1 954 526 5544. They will help you coordinate the recovery of your lost item.
