For orders shipping domestically, shipping rates and time will vary based on shipping location and order weight. Once you have entered your shipping information at checkout, you will be able to see available shipping options for your shipping location.
NOTE: They cannot deliver to a PO Box and shipping options for PO Boxes are not available. Please provide a valid complete street address.
When your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking number and a link to where you can see the shipment status. Please allow for a minimum of 24 hours for the tracking information to register on the carrier’s website.
Once your order has been placed and received into their system, you will receive a confirmation email with your order number. Their processing time for orders to be shipped is 1-2 business days. Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive a notification with tracking information included for you to monitor movement.
They do their best to process and ship orders within 1-2 business days. Democracy business days are Monday-Friday and exclude holidays and shipping time will vary based on location.
In addition to processing time, it may take anywhere from 1-9 business days from the date your order was shipped to receive your order.

You will receive an email confirmation with your tracking number once your order has shipped. While they will do all they can to ensure your order is delivered on time, they cannot be held responsible for conditions beyond their control such as severe weather, service interruptions, etc.
They accept the exchange or return of products purchased online through their website within 30 days of purchase. The return shipping cost will then be calculated when begin the process of your return. Their system will calculate the cost based on the shipping location and the maximum fee is $7.95 USD. Please note that the return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer and will be taken from your refund amount.
Democracy will issue a refund for returns received that are unwashed, unworn, unused and in original condition with the packing slip and tags attached in the form and the amount tendered for the original transaction.
They guarantee their merchandise to be free of manufacturing defects and will accept any defective item for a refund or exchange.
Merchandise received after 30 days will only be accepted at their discretion for online store credit. Democracy merchandise purchased from other retailers, including department stores, must be returned to the store from which it was originally purchased and is subject to the return policy of the originated retailer.
Democracy offers returns at a maximum fee of $7.95 USD and free exchanges for orders shipping within the U.S. To start your return or exchange, please proceed to their Returns Portal. All returns and exchanges must be shipped/mailed to the address on the return label.

Once your package has been received at the Kellwood Apparel / Democracy warehouse, your refund or exchange will be processed within 14 business days (Monday - Friday) after the day the package is received by their warehouse. If there is a refund due, a credit will be issued in the original form of payment.
Any shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is a result of a manufacturing error or a shipping error on their part.
Your bank may require 2-21 business days (Monday-Friday) to reflect the return transaction once they process the return. Typically debit and credit cards with regional banks take 14-21 business days.
