If you filed your tax return with eTax, you may retrieve copies simply by signing into your account. Copies of your tax return filed with eTax are available for 3 years.

If you did not file with eTax and would like to request a transcript or a copy of your tax return from the IRS, you have the following options:

• Request a free transcript of your federal return from the IRS. A transcript is used to verify income and some financial institutions accept it as a substitute for your original tax return. Visit IRS Get Transcript Tool for more details.

• Order an exact copy of your tax return, including all attachments, from the IRS for $57.00. See IRS Tax Topic 156 for complete instructions.

E-filing has some key benefits over other methods of filing.

Benefits include:

• Since the IRS doesn't have to re-enter your information into its system, e-filing results in fewer data-entry errors.

• You receive an acknowledgment that the IRS received your return. Paper returns don't receive an acknowledgment of receipt.

• You'll receive your refund faster if you e-file your return rather than mailing it.

Direct deposit is free and is included in all of eTax's packages.

Refund Transfer (RT) is a bank product used to pay for your tax preparation fees without needing to use a credit card. Your refund will be issued to you by a bank in the amount of your tax refund less your tax return preparation and the Refund Transfer processing fee.

Refund Transfers are bank deposit products using Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC, that enable certain deductions from the account to be processed. Refund Transfers are not loans.
